THIS COULD BE YOUR STORY
“Thank you so much for this Believe In Yourself course. It was only when I started watching that I understood that all these experiences and emotions I have been struggling with have happened as a result of not believing in myself.
If it wasn’t for this course I wouldn’t have actually taken the time to stop and work out what my thoughts about everything were, and see the extent of which my self-limiting beliefs are holding me back.”Believe In Yourself Participant

“I am really enjoying having the thought processes explained. It all makes sense and knowing this gives me the confidence to change them or celebrate them, depending if they are helpful or not.”Believe In Yourself Participant
WHY I MADE THIS COURSE
When I was dancing, I thought I was the only one who didn’t believe in myself. I thought everyone else had it all together and I was the only one who got stricken by fear of failing, crushed by criticism and felt like I wasn’t good enough more often than I cared to admit.
But after years working with performers & students as a counsellor and performance psychology teacher, I have come to realise I was definitely not alone. All too many performing artists experience the same fears & doubts that I did. And yet so few are taught how to manage these well.
So, I decided to create an online course for performing artists, so that – wherever you are in the world – you can access solid information on how to believe in yourself in a really grounded way that will equip you not only to cope resiliently with the pressures of the industry, but also to experience more freedom, fun & fulfillment in your work.
I hope that one day, programs like this will be a part of every up-and-coming performer’s training to help prepare them to survive and thrive in a competitive and sometimes cut-throat industry… For now, it’s for trailblazers like you!
“When you explain things with your own experiences it almost proves I do have the power to think positively and believe in myself.”Believe In Yourself Participant
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
When I began the Believe in Yourself program, I was unsure that I might find solutions for the insecurities that were haunting me daily as a principal dancer.
To my surprise, right from the beginning, Philippa touched on so many thoughts and insecurities that I was feeling daily, that I suddenly felt less alone. It was a relief to think the destructive ways I was used to thinking could actually be changed, and that believing in myself didn’t mean I had to develop an ego.
Since completing Believe in Yourself, I still face the same kinds of anxieties that I have always had, but now I feel like I have the tools to turn those from being destructive into being productive. Instead of shutting down or panicking, which I was prone to doing, I can ask myself why those anxious feelings are there and gently deal with them. I feel more open to criticism and understand that it can be used to move forward and help me grow.
Not only has Believe in Yourself helped me with my career, but I find myself applying it to my life in general.
I am so happy that I have these guidelines now to believe in myself, and find myself often referencing my notes or the videos to be reminded of what that means.
I have learned that everyone is unique, and so am I, and we should all have the chance to believe in ourselves and let our uniqueness shine.

The Believe In Yourself online course is created for performing artists as well as students training toward a career in the performing arts/entertainment industry. It is relevant to performers & students in all genres, including: singers, dancers, actors, musicians, musical theatre, circus performers, comedians, magicians etc. etc.
The curriculum is best suited to those aged 15 and up, however, we have had students as young as 12 take the course, who have found it to be easy to understand and very relevant to their training.
If you are unsure whether you (or your child/student) are ready to take this course, remember you can trial the course and if you find it is not suitable, receive a full-refund within the first 14 days.

I’d suggest you allow yourself 1-3hours each week to watch the videos, complete the workbook reflections and interact in the community group. Each Module is broken into 5-7 shorter videos (most between 5-10mins long) so it is easy to spread the work out across the week as suits your schedule best.
Of course, if you prefer to go at a slower pace, you an certainly do that too. You will have ongoing access to the course materials so you can take your time if you need to. It doesn’t matter how long you take, what matters is that you commit to finishing and actually do the course! 😉
I know how BUSY performing artists and students can be, so I have made this course as flexible for you to access as possible.
A lot of performers find that working through the course together with others helps to provide momentum and a sense of community. However, if you get behind for whatever reason (big performances, exams, personal issues etc.) or prefer to go at your own pace, don’t worry! You will have ongoing access to the course materials, so you take as long as you need and if you get behind, catch up whenever you can.
Learning to believe in yourself is a life-long process of continual growth. It is not something you “accomplish” in 5 weeks. However, this course will provide you with a thorough framework for believing in yourself that you can return to and continue to apply beyond the course (remember you’ll have ongoing access!) to equip you for this life-long process.
You will gain the insights, skills and strategies that will enable you to:
- understand the way things work when things go wrong
- know what you need to do to get control back over the way you see yourself
- learn how to recognise and draw on your strengths & abilities to increase your confidence
- manage fear & self-doubt and handle pressure situations
- develop sustainable motivation, set effective goals & build resilience
I have done my best to provide learning in as many different formats as possible: visual, audio, written, practical, relational… to maximise your ability to take this information on board and put it into practice in your life.
Got more questions? Please just send me an email, I’ll make sure you get an answer.
“My daughter has been working through the course while she’s been off school for a few weeks and I really think she is getting a lot out of it. She has not had any really bad days, which is quite unusual when she is not able to dance. She seems less frustrated and more at peace with the situation.
I really feel this will be the best thing we have been able to give her and it has been money well spent. Thank you again for providing such a fantastic course.”Believe In Yourself Participant's Mum
